More information

  • We actively promote equality of opportunity for all and welcome a wide range of applicants, including those with criminal records. We are committed to safeguarding our service users, which includes reference checks. As regulated work, helpline roles also require a successful PVG check.
  • We value the insight brought by volunteers who have chronic pain, or who care for someone with chronic pain. However, this is not a requirement.
  • Unless specified in the role description, you do not necessarily need previous experience. We always provide an induction and you will have ongoing support from a team/team leader.
  • All volunteer roles at Pain Concern are subject to our Volunteering Agreement.
  • All volunteering can be carried out from home, often at the time that works best for you.
  • You will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses such as travel.
